New marker placed at Billy the Kid’s grave in Fort Sumner, New Mexico

A new stone monument has been installed at Billy the Kid’s grave site in Fort Sumner, replacing the aging wooden marker that had stood for decades.
With Billy the Kid being a legendary outlaw synonymous with the Wild West, the grave site is one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Mexico.
