THE FAMILY SAYS MUFFY SNUCK OUT OF THE HOUSE IN 2011. THIS PAST WEEKEND, MUFFY SHOWED UP AT THE NEBRASKA HUMANE SOCIETY NEAR 90TH AND FORT. OFFICIALS CONFIRMED MUFFY’S IDENTITY WITH A MICROCHIP, AND MUFFY WAS REUNITED WITH FAMILY. The Nebraska Humane Society has reunited a lost cat named Muffy with her family after 15 years, following her identification through a microchip. Muffy snuck out of her family’s house in 2011 and showed up at the Nebraska Humane Society near 90th and Fort over the weekend.”I think 15 has to be the longest in my time here that I’ve seen between when a pet went missing, when a pet went home,” said Steven Elonich. “We do see some pretty amazing stories of several years, but 15 is that’s a long time. Imagine we’re doing 20.
