Ben Ogden and Gus Schumacher make Team USA history in Cross Country Skiing Men’s Team Sprint
Ben Ogden has won his second silver medal in the Milan Cortina Games.Ogden, 25, competed with Team USA partner Gus Schumacher in the Cross Country Skiing Men’s Team Sprint Free finals on Wednesday, securing a second-place finish.Ogden and Schumacher finished with a time of 18:30.3, just behind Team Norway, which finished with a time of 18:28.9.Team Italy took bronze with a time of 18:32.2.The medal is Team USA’s first-ever in the men’s cross-country skiing team sprint. It also marks Ogden’s second silver medal in the 2026 Winter Olympics, after his victory in the men’s sprint classical race with a time of 3:40.61.Meanwhile, Jessie Diggins and Julia Kern placed fifth in the Women’s Team Sprint Free finals with a time of 20:41.53.
