Cass County deputies arrested a Louisville man Saturday over an alleged sexual relationship with a teenager.According to a criminal complaint, 19-year-old Daniel Hoefener was booked into jail on a charge of first-degree sexual assault, statutory age 12 to 15. An affidavit alleges the victim’s mother called deputies after seeing messages on the social media platform “Discord” between her 14-year-old daughter and an adult man. The document states the investigator believed the man to be Hoefener based on a prior investigation. Hoefener allegedly admitted to having sexual intercourse with the teenager three times, according to the affidavit. The document states Hoefener told deputies he was not aware of the victim’s age, and that he ended contact with her after a prior investigation. He’s scheduled to make his first appearance in Cass County court Thursday.
