WELCOME BACK. THE CHILD SAVING INSTITUTE IS OFFERING A BRAND NEW, ENHANCED SUMMER CAMP THAT PARENTS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT. HERE TO TELL US ABOUT IT IS THEIR CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER, CHELSEA HAWES, AND MICKEY CRAMPTON, THE SITE DIRECTOR OF THE SPELLMAN CHILDHOOD CENTER. THANK YOU BOTH FOR JOINING US TODAY. THANK YOU FOR HAVING US. SO TELL US ABOUT THIS CAMP. WHAT IS IT? YES. IT IS A NEW SUMMER CAMP. IT IS TAILORED FOR KIDS WHO ARE 5 TO 10 YEARS OLD. AND IT IS A EXPANDED CAMP ON WHAT WE DID LAST YEAR SO THAT WE ARE REALLY ABLE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE SCHOOL AGED KIDS WHO HAVE WORKING FAMILIES AND WHO NEED THOSE EXTENDED HOURS OF CARE OVER THE SUMMER. YEAH. SO WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT FAMILIES AND KIDS CAN EXPECT AT THIS CAMP? YEAH, SO WE’RE GOING TO HAVE WEEKLY FIELD TRIPS AND WEEKLY VISITORS THAT MATCH UP WITH THE THEMED WEEKS THAT WE’RE DOING FOR THE SUMMER CAMP. SUPER FUN. AND HOW DID YOU GUYS, YOU KNOW, COME UP WITH THE IDEA TO HOLD THIS? IT’S SUCH A NEW CONCEPT. YEAH. SO LAST YEAR WE DID A SUMMER CAMP OVER AT OUR SPELMAN CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, AND IT WAS FOR KIDS WHO WERE IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH SECOND GRADE. AND THE STUDENTS WHO ATTENDED REALLY LOVED IT. AND SO THIS YEAR WE WANTED TO EXPAND ON THAT, INCREASE THE AGE RANGE THAT WE WERE OFFERING THE CAMP FOR, AND INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS THAT WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER THAT CAMP FOR AS WELL. AWESOME. AND THE CHILD SAVING INSTITUTE PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AT TWO OMAHA LOCATIONS. TELL US MORE ABOUT CHILD SAVING INSTITUTE FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT NOT KNOW, OF COURSE, WE PROVIDE AN ARRAY OF SERVICES. SO ASIDE FROM OUR TWO CHILD CARE CENTERS, WE ALSO HAVE MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES. AND THEN DIFFERENT COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES WHERE OUR STAFF GO OUT INTO THE COMMUNITY. THEY MEET WITH KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT THAT CAN BE AT THEIR HOME, AT THEIR SCHOOL OR IN DIFFERENT SETTINGS. AWESOME.
