Officials said residents are being evacuated in the area of SW 100th Street and Wittstruck and SW 84th Street and Wittstruck Road.

People are asked to avoid the area and follow instructions from firefighters and law enforcement if you are asked to evacuate.

Omaha weather: Fire danger, high winds, snow chances coming

Officials said the residents were being evacuated from the area of SW 112th Street and West Pioneers Boulevard, which is northwest of Denton. That order has been lifted.

Crews are also working in the areas of SW 100th and Martell, NW 140th and Adams and SW 140th and Rokeby.

Very dry, windy Thursday afternoon for Omaha area

In Gage County, officials said Highway 77 is closed in both directions at milemarker 26 due to a fire.
