A 19-year-old man accused of injuring an 18-year-old woman at a late-night car meetup in Douglas County was taken into custody by deputies.Brian Kounnavong was arrested Monday night for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and failure to render aid and willful reckless driving in the incident, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.Officials said around 10 p.m. Saturday, a large group of young people gathered to watch a car meetup with illegal stunts near 135th and F streets. A young woman in a pink outfit was hit as the car was turning away from her.Investigators said the car that hit the woman was driven by Kounnavong, who has been released on bond after his arrest. He has a history of traffic-related offenses, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.Liam Barlow, 22, was arrested on several charges, including reckless driving, speeding, possession of a weapon and illegal substances. Investigators believe he hosted the event.
