Former WNBA champion Kara Braxton dies at 43 following single-car accident near Atlanta
The WNBA is mourning the loss of two-time champion Kara Braxton.On Saturday, police near Atlanta said the 43-year-old’s car hit a concrete median wall on a highway. She later died at the hospital.Braxton spent 10 seasons in the WNBA, playing for the Detroit Shock, Tulsa Shock, Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty.The league released a statement saying it mourns her passing with “profound sadness.”Braxton is survived by her husband, two sons and twin sister.
