VERY SCARY MOMENTS. PETER? YEAH. THAT’S RIGHT. AND YOU KNOW, HE’S VERY GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT HIS TRUCK ENDED UP CATCHING ON FIRE. AND HE’S ALSO GRATEFUL FOR THE MEN WHO PULLED HIM OUT TO SAFETY, DISLOCATED HIP ON MY RIGHT SIDE, A BROKEN WRIST. I GOT A CUT UNDERNEATH MY CHIN. REQUIRED FIVE STITCHES. FRANCIS LEVERONE DESCRIBES HIS INJURIES, BUT GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE AFTER THIS. IS ANYBODY IN THE CAR? CRASHED HIS TRUCK INTO A DUMP TRUCK FULL OF SNOW TWO WEEKS AGO ON ROUTE 138 IN EASTON. SEES SOMETHING DOWN THE STREET. JUST DIDN’T THINK. AND JUST THEN I GOT CLOSER. ALL OF A SUDDEN I DID A SNEEZE AND MUST HAVE PULLED MY HAND DOWN AND THE TRUCK WAS RIGHT THERE. ANOTHER CAR CRASHING INTO HIM, SETTING BOTH ABLAZE. LEVERONE WITH HIS DISLOCATED LEG, IS TRAPPED. WATCH OUT! I WAS HURTING TRYING TO GET ME OUT OF THAT WINDOW. THEY ENDED UP BREAKING MY WINDOW. HEY SIR! HURRY UP! SIR! LOOK AT ME. PUT THE PHONE DOWN. HOLD THAT. LET’S GO. I SEE HIM GETTING UNDERNEATH MY ARMS, TRYING TO PULL. AND I GUESS ONE OF THE BROTHERS GOT INSIDE THE TRUCK. THEY TRIED TO GET MY LEG UNTANGLED SO I COULD STRETCH IT, AND THEN THEY PULLED ME STRAIGHT OUT. COME ON. TWO BROTHERS WHO WERE PASSING BY, ALONG WITH THE RESPONDING EASTON POLICE OFFICER. PULL HIM OUT. IS HE THE ONLY ONE AND CARRY HIM TO SAFETY? I’M READY. NOW HE’S RECOVERING AT ENCOMPASS HEALTH REHAB IN BRAINTREE. GRATEFUL TO BE HERE. WHERE IS HE? INSTEAD OF TRAPPED IN THERE? I MEAN, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO THOSE GUYS RIGHT NOW? HAHA. GOD BLESS THEM. EVEN MY WIFE WANTS TO. GOD BLESS HIM. I SURVIVED. YEAH. HE’S CERTAINLY HAPPY TO BE ALIVE. HE’S RECOVERING WELL HERE AT THE REHAB FACILITY IN BRAINTREE. HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING HOME. AND HE SAYS HIS FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS IS THANKING THE MEN THAT HE SAYS SAVED HIS LIFE. WE’RE LIV

Francis Leverone said he is grateful to be alive after he crashed his truck into a parked dump truck full of snow while driving in Massachusetts in February.”I see something down the street, I didn’t think anything, then all of a sudden I got closer, I did a sneeze,” Leverone, 78, said. “Must have pulled my hand down, and the truck was right there.Another car, a 2024 Toyota Camry, collided with the rear of Leverone’s 2013 Ford F-350, setting both ablaze. Leverone became trapped in the crash after dislocating his leg. “I was hurting, trying to get me out of that window,” Leverone said. “They ended up breaking my window.”Two brothers who were passing by, along with a responding Easton police officer, helped pull Leverone out of the burning car. “I see them getting under my arms, and I guess one of the brothers got inside the truck, trying to get my leg untangled, so I could stretch it, then they pulled me straight out,” Leverone said.The good Samaritans helped carry Leverone to safety. He suffered several injuries, including a dislocated right hip and a broken wrist.He is now recovering at a rehab facility in Braintree, grateful to be there instead of trapped inside a burning car. He said he only has words of thanks for the men who helped save his life.”God bless them, even my wife wants to God bless them, I survived,” Leverone said.
