Metro Transit is holding seven public meetings on proposed changes to some routes in Omaha.Metro Transit says most of the changes will increase how often buses arrive on specific routes. The biggest change involves Route 30. It’s proposing the route run to the Aksarben Transit Center along Saddle Creek, instead of traveling to downtown. The transit authority says this realignment would give a more direct connection for trips that are not downtown. It says it would also give access to multiple grocery stores, a hospital, two universities and more than a dozen schools. Open houses on the proposed changes begin Tuesday at 12 p.m. The meeting will be held on Zoom. See the full list of meetings by clicking here.
