‘Well-suited to lead’: Local congressmen write letter in support of new Homeland Security secretary nominee
A group of congressmen wrote a letter, sent to President Donald Trump, in favor of new Homeland Security Secretary nominee Markwayne Mullin.Mullin, currently an Oklahoma U.S. senator, was appointed by the president after announcing his firing of former South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem last week.Nebraska Reps. Mike Flood, District 1, and Don Bacon, District 2, both helped write the letter.Iowa Reps. Randy Feenstra, District 4, and Zach Nunn, District 3, also joined in drafting the letter.A statement from the letter shows the backing of the appointment.”Sen.
