SYSTEM. TRAVEL RIGHT NOW IS SMOOTH IN THE METRO, BUT THIS WEEK THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ANNOUNCED IT’S BEEN GIVEN $15 MILLION IN GRANTS TO IMPROVE ROADS AROUND NEBRASKA. BUT ONE OF THEM IS GOING TO HAPPEN RIGHT IN OMAHA. THIS IS A LIVE VIEW OF 38 AND HIGHWAY 275. NOW, A VIADUCT IN THIS AREA IS WHAT’S GOING TO GET PART OF THAT FUNDING. SPECIFICALLY $5 MILLION OF IT. SO THE 38TH STREET VIADUCT NEAR HIGHWAY 275, THE FUNDING WILL REPLACE THAT CURRENT VIADUCT. THE GOAL IS TO SUPPORT FREIGHT TRAFFIC AND SOUTH OMAHA TRAFFIC IN THE AREA.
