The storm predictions are getting Nebraska road workers excited to finally put their plowing skills to use this winter seasonThe Nebraska Department of Transportation said it’s been working on trucks and equipment Wednesday preparing for the snowy day ahead.NDOT’s District 2 Operations and Maintenance Manager Jim Laughlin said they have over 54 trucks and 108 drivers ready to get to work.He said this is the first real snowfall the state might get this year, and it’s important for everyone to be cautious.“They typically plow know to the right,” Laughlin said. “So, if you’re going to drive around them, you’re going to possibly be driving through snow coming up. And there’s no plow blade. So, it could be potentially dangerous.”As you heard from Omaha’s Chief Meteorologist, snowfall is expected to impact the commute tomorrow afternoon when everyone is getting off work.Laughlin said it’s important to remain alert on the road.
