The Nebraska State Patrol said two people died after a crash during snowy conditions south of North Platte. It happened on Highway 83 around 1:35 p.m. Thursday.NSP says a driver lost control, crossed the center line and hit a pickup. Troopers say two passengers died. Medics took the driver to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver was also hurt but expected to survive. The state patrol said multiple crashes were reported throughout the day on I-80. Troopers responded to at least 45 calls and helped 114 drivers.
