Firefighters made progress on the Cottonwood and Morrill fires, with new containment gains reported on both incidents.A new update released Tuesday, March 17, from Rocky Mountain Complex Incident Management Team 1 said crews took advantage of a break in the wind to make significant gains in containment. The update said the Cottonwood Fire was listed at 131,259 acres and 40% contained. The Morrill Fire was listed at 572,084 acres and 18% contained.
