Friday was the state swimming prelims in Lincoln.Meredith Patyon of Marian set a new state meet record in the 100 fly finishing in a time of 54.03 seconds. Payton also had the fastest in the 200 IM. For the boys, freshman Zachary Decker out of Bellevue had the fastest qualifier in the 50 free in 21.28 seconds.
