The Omaha Fire Department says the PulsePoint app has saved at least one person in just the first month since its launch. The app encourages bystanders to jump into action during a cardiac emergency to perform CPR. After being transported to the hospital, the person was later awake and talking that evening. “The most important number is not in the statistics. It’s the number of people willing to step forward when someone in our community needs help,” says OFD.
