Omaha police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store late Wednesday night and an attempted robbery at a business early Thursday morning.Officers first responded to the NP Mart, located near North 52nd Street and Northwest Radial Highway, around 11:20 p.m.An employee told officers that the suspect approached him, pointed a pistol at him and demanded money, Omaha police said. The suspect took cash and left the scene on foot, traveling south, investigators said.Omaha police said officers were unable to find the suspect, who was described as a man wearing all black clothing. Officers then responded to the Express Mart, located near North 40th and Hamilton streets, around 12:20 a.m. for reports of an armed party, Omaha police said.An employee told officers that a man pointed a handgun at him and demanded money, but left the store without receiving any cash, investigators said.Omaha police said the suspect was wearing all black clothing.
