OMAHA POLICE TELL KETV THE HOMEOWNER GAVE POLICE PERMISSION TO SEARCH THE HOME FOR A SUSPECT OR SUSPECTS, BUT POLICE SAY THEY DID NOT LOCATE ANYONE IN THE HOME DOING THEIR DUE DILIGENCE. DUE DILIGENCE BY ALSO CHECKING THE RESIDENCE FOR VICTIMS. NOW, OMAHA POLICE CONFIRMED TO US THAT THE REASON THEY WERE GOING INSIDE THE HOME AND BLOCKING OFF THE NEARBY AREA. AS WE MENTIONED, WAS TO LOOK FOR BOTH WITNESSES AND SUSPECTS TO THAT SHOTS FIRED CALL. RIGHT NOW, THEY SAY THEY HAVE NOT FOUND THOSE SUSPECTS, BUT SAY THAT THIS AREA IS NOT A DANGER OR A THREAT TO THE PUBLIC. IT IS STILL CLOSED OFF, LIKE I MENTIONED, WITH POLICE TAPE FROM GRAND UNTIL FOWLER HERE ON 39TH. AND OFFICERS ARE STILL ON SCENE. YOU CAN SEE RIGHT BEHIND ME. THERE’S STILL A SPOTLIGHT ON THAT HOME. AND SEVERAL OFFICERS WITH THEIR LIGHTS ON STILL IN THE AREA. OF COURSE, WE’LL STAY ON SCENE TO LEARN MORE AND UPDATE YOU WHEN WE HAVE THAT INFO
