An Omaha Public Schools employee will go to trial for alleged sex crimes.Jeffrey Schafer was charged with sex trafficking of a minor and possession of child pornography. Schafer was held on 10% of $1 million bond during a court appearance Friday. He was ordered not to have contact with the victim or any children under 19. Prosecutors said the investigation started in July 2024 and Schafer met the victim in September 2023. The victim was 16 at the time.Court documents indicate Omaha Police talked with the victim who shared messages and photos with them. So it’s very concerning.
