UNO softball remains undefeated after shutting out both Kennesaw State and Furman on Friday.

Maddia Groff, Alexis Wiggins, and Alyson Edwards combined for the victory against the Owls, which marked the sixth perfect game thrown by the Mavs since 2000.

Groff has notably been a part of three of those six.

A three-run homer from Marra Cramer put Omaha on the board in the third inning against Kennesaw State.

Edwards then hit a two-run homer, marking her third home run of the season.

The next two innings would see Sammy Schmidt make it home on a sac fly and a walk from Katherine Johnson.

The Mavericks took down the Owls 7-0.

Wiggins and Grace Hornbuckle combined for a one-hitter against the Paladins.

Cramer got Omaha on the board with a two-run double in the first inning.

Then in the second inning, Johnson brought two more home.

But a five-run third inning for the Mavs propelled them to the run-rule victory. That inning saw a two-run homer from Hailey Boltz and a two-run single from Cramer.

Omaha defeated Furman, 10-0.

UNO will continue in the Alabama tournament on Saturday in a doubleheader against Nicholls and Troy.
