Tyler Harrill of Skutt Catholic became a four-time state champion at 165 pounds with a pin in the first period. Other Skutt winners included Colton Strange at 106 pounds with a 9-0 decision, and Ben Ziola, who won his third straight state title, moving closer to becoming a four-time state champ. Isaac Christo trailed 4-2 late in the third period, but a takedown put him up by one point, earning him a state title. Nikolas Rotella joined the comeback victories, overcoming a 4-1 deficit with 27 seconds left, eventually winning in extra time. Riley Johnson is now a three-time state champion.Omaha Bryan’s Khy’ree Thomas Calloway finished the year as a state champion with an undefeated record of 52-0, snagging his 150th career win at 113 pounds. Creighton Prep celebrated Zaiyahn Ornelas as a four-time state champion with a 5-3 decision. Millard South had a pair of state champs with Brady Danze fired up at 150 pounds, while Kiernan Meink won his third title, finishing 54-1 this season.
