The New England Patriots’ plane was chartered this week by the Department of State to fly Americans home from the Middle East. The Department of State on Friday shared a picture of people walking up the stairs to the team’s Boeing 767, known as AirKraft. Assistant Secretary of Global Public Affairs Dylan Johnson told ABC News that the chartered State Department flight landed safely in Washington, D.C., Friday morning. “This flight was entirely paid for by the State Department,” an official told ABC News. “The New England Patriots organization were not involved in this flight.”The Department of State did not specify where the flight originated.
