THE OMAHA PUBLIC LIBRARY HAD A VERY SPECIAL GUEST FOR CHILDREN’S STORYTIME. LATIN THUNDER SURE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION. HEY. AND THE OTHER ONE, LATIN THUNDER, MADE TIME OUT OF HIS VERY BUSY PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING CAREER TO READ SOME STORIES TO THE KIDS. HE ALSO HAD TO TEACH THE IMPORTANCE OF LUCHA LIBRE WRESTLING, AND I WANTED TO BRING THAT PIECE OF MEXICAN CULTURE TO THE MIDWEST THROUGH WRESTLING. I’VE ALWAYS LOVED READING. Latin Thunder brings lucha libre wrestling to Omaha library story time
Latin Thunder, a professional wrestler, visited one of the Omaha Public Library’s branches to read stories to children and teach them about the importance of lucha libre wrestling. “I wanted to bring that piece of Mexican culture to the Midwest through wrestling. I’ve always loved reading. I’ve been a voracious reader and I’ve always loved libraries. They were a safe haven,” Latin Thunder said.
