Omaha residents gathered at the Gene Leahy Mall on Tuesday to celebrate Mardi Gras with the Prairie Gators, marking the first time the Riverfront has hosted the event. Mardi Gras, which is French for Fat Tuesday, is celebrated on the day before Ash Wednesday as a final day of indulgence before Lent.”It’s such a fun party.
