We came here to Lavino to cover the athletes, but just walking on the streets, we found one couple who won *** gold medal in the game of life. Stephanie Massano first came to Italy 20 years ago to work on the broadcasting team at the 2006 games in Torino, but her professional adventure turned personal. And, uh, I met this wonderful gentleman, uh, in Milan actually on *** weekend. And in one of the world’s most romantic countries, Giuseppe and Stephanie fell in love, and then he made *** big life decision. I’m moving to the States is not easy, but it’s wonderful. And now they’re back where it all began. And here we are 20 years later, now married for 17 years. We brought back our two children to experience the games in Italy. And while the boys have loved the events on the ice and in the snow. They’re more into another Olympic hobby. The pin trading here has been *** lot of fun for them to interact with other kids, other adults, and they get to practice *** little bit of their languages. So with an American mother and *** father from Milan, how’s their Italian? I’m pretty good. Every time I try to speak in Italian at home, oh Daddy, no, don’t speak Italian. I want, we in America don’t need to speak Italian. As for where the family lives now, they live in the suburbs of Detroit and they own *** pizza restaurant at the Malign Cortina Olympics.
