Police marine officers on Florida’s Gulf Coast recently rescued an injured pelican spotted in a canal.The Cape Coral Police Department said their marine officers responded to the scene and retrieved the bird from the canal. They took it to a local veterinarian for care. Cape Coral police thanked the neighbors who found the bird for letting officers know it needed help.
