MARYLAND. IT’S UNCLEAR WHEN HE’LL BE BACK IN IOWA. THE OMAHA INLAND PORT AUTHORITY SHARES ITS RESULTS FROM A COMMUNITY WIDE SURVEY. PORT AUTHORITIES WERE CREATED BY A STATE LAW PASSED A FEW YEARS AGO. THE GOAL IS TO INCENTIVIZE DEVELOPMENT, OMAHA’S PORT AUTHORITY SAYS ITS SURVEY FOUND THE COMMUNITY WANTED MORE INFORMATION ON ITS PROJECTS, WHETHER THAT BE MORE MEETINGS OR INFORMATION THAT CAN BE FOUND ON SOCIAL MEDIA. The Omaha Inland Port Authority shared results of its Community Advisory Committee (CAC) survey Tuesday. Nebraska senators passed the Municipal Inland Port Authority Act, creating the public entities. The goal is to incentivize and stimulate economic development on commercial and industrial sites. Omaha’s Inland Port Authority was established in 2024. Its two major projects include the Airport Business Park and the Innovation District.
