THERE ARE TWO OF SIX U.S. SERVICEMEN WHO HAVE DIED SINCE THE EARLY DAYS OF THE CONFLICT WITH IRAN. OMAHA NEWS LEADER HAS TEAM COVERAGE TONIGHT. JULIE, THE GRAND MASTER HERE AT MARTIAL ARTS INTERNATIONAL IN BELLEVUE, SAYS TIETJENS WAS FULL OF CHARACTER. HE WAS CONFIDENT AND BUT NOT EGOTISTICAL, EGOTISTICAL, AND HE EMBODIED WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A BLACK BELT. JULIUS MELGAREJO KNEW NOAH TIETJENS WELL. HE HAS A GROWTH MINDSET, WHICH IS WHAT WE EMBODY HERE. THE SERGEANT FIRST CLASS STARTED WORKING IN THE ARTS IN 2008 AND SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN THIS STUDIO. HIS LIFE IS EITHER IN THE ARMY WHEN HE SERVES OR HERE WHEN WHEN HE’S HERE IN TOWN, YOU KNOW, SUPPORTING HIS FAMILY, SUPPORTING HIS CHILD, SUPPORTING HIS WIFE, MELGAREJO SAID. TIETJENS ATTENDED AN ONLINE CLASS LAST MONTH WHILE DEPLOYED TO READ A TEXT FROM HIM. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION AND NOT SURE HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE, SO. THIS WAS ON FEBRUARY 22ND. SO EVEN THOUGH HE WAS OVERSEAS, HE TRAINS AND HE TRIES TO KEEP UP. THE STUDIO SAYS TIETJENS WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING MORE TIME AS A MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR. THAT’S THE KIND OF GUY THAT YOU’LL REMEMBER AND YOU WILL NEVER JUST FORGET BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT HE MAKES, NOT ONLY TO THE TO THE TO THE COMMUNITY THAT HE BELONGS TO, BUT TO EVERY PERSON HE COMES IN CONTACT WITH.
