The driver accelerated to over 140 miles per hour, troopers said.
Omaha police’s helicopter took over the pursuit, following from the air for several miles west.
The news release said the driver then turned around and headed back to a neighborhood near the I-680 and Maple area before stopping and entering a residence.

NSP said troopers tried multiple times to call the driver out of the home, and “after numerous attempts, they were able to contact the driver via phone.
The driver exited the home and was taken into custody for willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest, obstructing a peace officer, failure to obey a lawful order, no operator’s license, and traffic violations.
