AUTHORITIES SAY HE COLLECTED MORE THAN $1.5 MILLION, INCLUDING MORE THAN $400,000 FROM ONE IOWA VICTIM. INVESTIGATORS SAY MANY VICTIMS DRAINED SAVINGS OR WENT INTO DEBT.
