The Douglas County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April as Second Chance Month. Commissioner Mary Ann Borgeson said this month is about giving opportunities to those who are released from incarceration. Reconnect Inc. is an organization giving those second chances. Clinton Osborne, who spoke to commissioners, spent over a decade in prison, and he’s been out for about two years. He said Reconnect Inc. gave him an opportunity to turn his life around.”I’ve gotten married and my life is really good. I’ve got a kid on the way now. I’ve established a credit score for the first time. I could just go on and on and on about all the great things that have happened in my life and the changes that have been made and the differences.
