Omaha police says man was killed following gunfire exchange with officers
OMAHA, Neb. —
Omaha police are on scene of an officer-involved incident.
The incident happened in the area of 55th and Pine streets on Saturday around 5:30 p.m.

According to officers at the scene, police was called to the scene for the report of a suicidal party, and once officers arrived, they gunfire was exchanged.
A man was killed, but police said no officers were hurt during the incident.
The officer on the scene confirmed Omaha police fired their weapons and there was a firearm found at the scene that is not an OPD service weapon.
Omaha police said there will be traffic restrictions in the neighborhood and surrounding areas as the investigation continues.

The officers involved will be placed on critical incident review leave, per department policy.
