Autopsies positively identify human remains found as missing Nebraska couple, Lincoln police say
LEADER. KETV NEWSWATCH SEVEN AT FIVE. HAPPENING TODAY. MAJOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE DOUBLE HOMICIDE CASE OUT OF LANCASTER COUNTY. AUTOPSY RESULTS FOUND THAT HUMAN REMAINS DISCOVERED IN SAUNDERS COUNTY WERE, IN FACT, THE COUPLE AND THEIR UNBORN CHILD. KETV NEWSWATCH SEVEN’S CAPITOL BUREAU CHIEF, JOHN GRUENWALD, HAS THE LATEST. JOHN. AUTOPSIES, CONDUCTED THIS WEEK POSITIVELY IDENTIFIED THE REMAINS LOCATED IN SAUNDERS COUNTY AS THOSE OF HANNAH NEVILLE AND ROBERTO TANNER. WE ALSO CAN CONFIRM THE RECOVERY OF FETAL REMAINS, THE CONCLUSION OF A SEARCH THAT SPRAWLED ACROSS MULTIPLE NEBRASKA COUNTIES, ENDING IN THE UNCOVERING OF REMAINS OF A MARRIED COUPLE FROM STROMSBURG 27 YEAR OLD ROBERTO TANNER AND 26 YEAR OLD HANNAH NEVILLE, WHO IS 32 WEEKS PREGNANT. STERLING, JAMES TANNER’S HALF BROTHER, WAS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND ONE COUNT OF FIRST DEGREE MURDER OF AN UNBORN CHILD. OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO THE FAMILIES AND LOVED ONES DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME, AND WE ASK THAT YOU KEEP THEM IN YOUR THOUGHTS. OUR INVESTIGATORS CONTINUE WORKING ON THIS LENGTHY AND COMPLEX CASE. THE LINCOLN POLICE DEPARTMENT’S PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER, ERICA THOMAS, INDICATED THAT SEARCH EFFORTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS HAVE WRAPPED UP. NOW, THE INVESTIGATION HAS SHIFTED TO REVIEWING DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL EVIDENCE. AUTHORITIES HAVE FRIDAY AFTERNOON THE LAST PERSON LINCOLN POLICE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO THIS CASE WENT BEFORE A JUDGE LIKE AMY MITCHELL, SHEENA MILLER AND KENDALL HAWTHORNE. MATTHEW LICKLIDER HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH ACCESSORY TO MURDER AND TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE. HIS BOND IS HIGHER, THOUGH, SET AT 10% OF $1.5 MILLION BECAUSE OF AN ACTIVE CASE OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AGAINST HIM. I THINK THE CASE THAT HE WAS OUT ON BOND IN IN AARON COUNTY. The human remains found in Saunders County are those of a missing Nebraska couple and their unborn child, Lincoln police said Friday.Officials said autopsies positively identified the remains of Hannah Neville and Roberto Tanner.
