Maha Festival reveals 2026 lineup, featuring Omaha band

An Omaha band is returning to its roots as part of the 2026 Maha Festival. Organizers revealed the 2026 lineup Monday at Millwork Commons.Previous coverage in the video aboveUK indie rock band “Wet Leg” is the headliner. Festival organizers said this year’s headliner was the most requested artist in a survey taken after last year’s performances.”We send out a survey at the end of every year, asking people who came to Maha that year, who they want to see the following year,” TJ Twit, festival board chair, said. “Wet Leg was the overwhelming favorite.”Omaha natives “Bright Eyes”, Grammy Award-winning rapper Killer Mike and rising alternative artist “Blondshell” are also slated to perform. Rounding out the festival bill are Indie-folk favorites “Whitney,” Omaha-based musician “David Nance & Mowed Sound,” and “Carver Jones.””I’ve been a stage manager for Maha. I’ve been to every single Maha, so I’m very excited,” Marq Manner, store manager at Homer’s Music and Maha enthusiast said. “Exactly who I wanted. I was hoping for Wet Leg. Blondshell was a very nice surprise.”The music festival returned to The Riverfront in 2025. It was previously held for several years in Aksarben Village.Twit said they’re also bringing back crowd favorites from previous years as well.”This year we’re bringing community village back into a much bigger space, larger space for them to highlight, and community village is where, local nonprofits a highlight all the great things they’re doing. And we have a very big space them to do that this year. And we’re bringing back silent disco,” Twit said.The 2026 festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 8. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 3.
