Nebraska baseball pitcher Ty Horn taken in third round of MLB Draft

LINCOLN, Neb. —

Nebraska baseball’s right-handed pitcher from Kansas is going pro.

Ty Horn was selected in the third round of the MLB Draft on Saturday by the Cincinnati Reds.

During the 2026 season, Horn started 12 games for Nebraska and made 22 appearances on the mound.

He tallied 87 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.
