It was almost closing time, but rather than head home, Omaha Police say multiple people assaulted a man outside Bar 39 in Omaha. The altercation, which occurred March 21 shortly after 1 a.m., was caught on nearby surveillance cameras. Video shows the victim try to enter the bar through the back door, which wasn’t allowed. He’s pushed away by security. Shortly after, a man in a white shirt with a large red heart punches the victim in the head. Seconds later, a second person joins in, and the victim falls to the ground. The victim is then picked up and slammed on the ground. After that, multiple people start kicking the person. The victim gets up with no sign of severe injuries and intervenes minutes later when a group of women start fighting. The victim told police he didn’t do anything wrong. The alleged assailants are now wanted for misdemeanor assault. Tips can be submitted anonymously via phone at 402-444-STOP (7867).
