OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police identified the two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide.

The incident happened near 35th and Davenport streets on Friday around 7:30 a.m.

INITIAL COVERAGE: Omaha police investigate deaths of two people

Police were called to an apartment for a welfare check, and when officers arrived, they found a man, identified as 29-year-old Lucas Nunez, and a woman, identified as 19-year-old Victoria Kreitler, deceased.

According to the Omaha Police Department, the homicide unit determined Nunez shot and killed his girlfriend before shooting himself.
