The “Tomb Raider” series has paused production after lead star Sophie Turner was injured, according to reports. Sophia Turner is playing Lara Croft in a new “Tomb Raider” adaptation inspired by the legendary video game. A representative for Prime Video told Variety that “Sophie Turner recently experienced a minor injury. As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.”The series is expected to be released in 2027; however, with Turner’s injury, it is unknown if the release date will be impacted. “Tomb Raider” is a video game that was released in 1996 and has had many revivals and sequels since its release. “Tomb Raider” was also made into a movie starring Angelina Jolie in 2001, “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” and another movie was made in 2018 starring Alicia Vikander.
