COUNTIES IN NORTH, CENTRAL AND WESTERN NEBRASKA, HEAVILY IMPACTED EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. CREWS SAY THE FIRE IN WESTERN NEBRASKA IS NOW 97% CONTAINED, BUT THE UNCONTAINED PART IS IN A, QUOTE, AREA OF BURIED HEAT THAT WILL CONTINUE TO SMOLDER UNTIL IT’S EXCAVATED.
