All five golfers with Nebraska ties missed the cut for the weekend during round two of PBC

OMAHA, Neb. —

Round two of the 10th annual Pinnacle Bank Championship is in the books, but it marked the final round for the local flavor.

All five golfers with Nebraska ties missed the cut at Indian Creek in Elkhorn.

The cutline was at two under par to make the weekend.

Creighton Prep alum Alex Schaake carded one over total, nearly found the cup from the sand on 18 and settled for par.

After shooting two under in round one, Scott Gutschewski struggled on Friday in round two. He ended one over total.

Current Husker amateur Caden Mickelson on 9 capped his first Korn Ferry Tour event with a par. He finished four over for the tournament.

Later, Luke Gutschewski on 4 saw one of his five birdies in the round. He carded two under to end at even.

Finally, Nate Vontz birdied on 15 and lived within the cut for most of the day. But a double bogey on 7 and a miss on the deciding chip on 9 kept him out of the weekend. Vontz fell short at even.

First round leader Robby Shelton was still on top of the leader board after round two at 11 under par.

Thomas Rosenmueller was among five golfers one shot back, and all five golfers with Nebraska ties missed the cut.
