Amazon working to bring drone delivery to customers near Papillion warehouse

OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha-area residents could soon receive Amazon packages by a drone.

Amazon confirmed to KETV that the company is working to bring Prime Air to its Papillion warehouse.

The company said products under five pounds that fit in a shoebox can be delivered by a drone.

Amazon uses a 7- to 8-mile radius within the warehouse.

A spokesperson for Amazon said it’s always exploring new ways to deliver products at faster speeds and the company hopes to reach customers by air soon.
