A Roman grave marker from the imperial period, discovered in a New Orleans backyard, has been returned to Italy during a special ceremony in Rome. The New Orleans FBI office said a woman found the grave marker while cleaning her backyard in May 2022. She turned it over to the FBI, which coordinated its return. The ceremony also included the return of an urn, recovered by the FBI in Boston, that may contain a saint’s remains.
