Police identify man in Halloween mask accused of terrorizing people in Philadelphia

Police have identified a man accused of wearing a Halloween-style mask and terrorizing women in Philadelphia.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Zymire Hughes, 22, Philadelphia police announced Thursday.

Police also said Hughes may have fled Pennsylvania and has connections to California and Nevada.
“We’re working with the U.S. Marshals to bring him back to face justice,” police said.
Investigators say the suspect was wearing a Chucky-style mask as he ran up to people and made threats during a 15-minute span on Aug. 12.
Police said the masked man first entered a Dunkin’ at 5:20 a.m. and was refused service for wearing the mask. After exiting, he was seen on camera running toward people near City Hall at 5:25 a.m.
Police said the suspect chased a man on the west side of 15th Street and then approached a woman who was jogging.
The suspect allegedly stopped in front of the woman and asked her, “Are you ready to die?” The woman took off running and injured her leg, according to police.
Hughes is facing charges that include terroristic threats, simple assault and other offenses.
