A suspect wanted for a murder in Beatrice was taken into custody in Lancaster County, officials said.The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received information Tuesday that the suspect, identified as Justis Barnhouse, was in the area.According to court documents, Barnhouse allegedly shot and killed Joshua May during a dispute in Beatrice early Tuesday morning.Around 2:30 p.m., deputies found Barnhouse and started a traffic stop near North 98th Street and the Interstate 80 overpass, authorities said.Deputies gave multiple commands to Barnhouse, who did not follow them, and a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office K9 was deployed and made contact with the suspect, according to officials.Barnhouse was arrested on warrants for second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. A suspect wanted for a murder in Beatrice was taken into custody in Lancaster County, officials said.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received information Tuesday that the suspect, identified as Justis Barnhouse, was in the area.

According to court documents, Barnhouse allegedly shot and killed Joshua May during a dispute in Beatrice early Tuesday morning.

Around 2:30 p.m., deputies found Barnhouse and started a traffic stop near North 98th Street and the Interstate 80 overpass, authorities said.

Deputies gave multiple commands to Barnhouse, who did not follow them, and a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office K9 was deployed and made contact with the suspect, according to officials.
