Bellevue community holds annual National Night Out event in 1999
BELLEVUE, Neb. —
The city of Bellevue held a get-together to kick off National Night Out events in 1999.
Games, face painting and basketball dominated the event. The gathering was also organized as a crime fighting tool.

“This is just an event to get everybody together, so that we kind of have a unity in fighting against crimes and drugs in our neighborhood,” said a community organizer.
