Big Red Zone Expert breaks down ‘most complete roster’ Coach Rhule has had in his time in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. —

Talking season in college football is in full swing, and a common talking point surrounding Nebraska is the roster.

Matt Rhule is in his fourth season with the Huskers, and the team faces a tough schedule.

Damon Benning of the Husker Radio Network said this is the most complete roster Rhule’s had in his time in Lincoln.

“It’s certainly the most competitive from a depth standpoint, and that’s where you need to be going into year four, right? Where that shouldn’t be a bonus. That should be expected, and I think he embraces that. And now that I think he’s getting the right temperament in the building, he can really enhance that. It’s a huge year because if Nebraska looks really, really functional, and they’re successful on the football field, they’re setting themselves up to finally be an old, experienced football team in 2027,” Benning said.

Huskers return key starters, center Justin Evans, tight end Luke Lindenmeyer, and defensive back Andrew Marshall will represent Nebraska at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago on July 30.
