‘Biggest and leanest team we’ve had’: Coach Rhule gives update on team as they prepare for the season opener
LINCOLN, Neb. —
Coach Rhule spoke to the media before Fan Day in Lincoln on Saturday.
He spoke about the health and attitude of the team so far, stating the players have great attitudes and this is the “biggest and leanest team we’ve had.”

Rhule also made a staffing announcement. Gus Felder, who had been with Nebraska for years as the Director of Player Development, got a job as an athletic director, so Rhule said Husker Athletics hired Damon Benning to fill his spot.
