Bird causes over 1,400 Omaha Public Power District customers to lose power, officials say
LOUISVILLE, Neb. —
Omaha Public Power District officials said a bird was behind Friday night’s power outage.
According to OPPD, 1,472 customers in Louisville, Nebraska, lost power around 7:20 p.m.

After some troubleshooting, crews found the outage was caused by bird damage to substation equipment.
The estimated time for the restoration is 1 a.m.
