According to the Bellevue Police Department, Cassie Hubbard rear-ended an SUV on Friday near 36th Street and Capehart Road.

Police said Hubbard’s blood alcohol level was over three times the legal limit, and her 9-month-old child was in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

“This level of intoxication is very concerning. What we don’t always see is a child in the car,” John Reisz, Sarpy County chief deputy attorney, said.

According to investigators, officers noticed signs of impairment and said Hubbard failed field sobriety tests. Reisz said it’s a blessing no one was hurt.

“These are the types of things that keep prosecutors awake at night,” Reisz said.

Hubbard was held on 10% of $500,000 bond and was ordered to have no contact with her child and no consumption of controlled substances or alcohol.

She is scheduled to appear in court next on Sept. 18.
